The Ketchum Arts Festival, a vibrant part of the local arts scene since 1999, moved to its new location in 2005. The festival takes place July 7-9, 2006 at the Sun Valley Festival Meadows on Sun Valley Road, in the open land adjacent to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church.
Started seven years ago by a small group of local residents, the festival provides a venue for Wood River Valley artists and craftspeople to display and sell their work while celebrating the arts with the entire community. The goal is to create an event that gives back to the community and to reflect participating artists’ appreciation of the community, its local organizations, and supportive patrons.
The annual festival is designed to feature as many local artists as possible and provides entertainment, food and local brew. It is the objective of the Ketchum Arts Festival to create a local arts and crafts show in which a diverse range of Blaine County artists can display and sell their art in an environment that complements their work. The group consists of both professional and non-professional artists and craftspeople of all ages and backgrounds. The eclectic group prides itself on offering both high-end and sophisticated art works by emerging artists, and affordable crafts.
